DISCUSSION & INFORMATION
What is Coefficiency of Inbreeding (COI)?
Here are some links about this subject.

Basically, it is becoming evident that inbreeding
and linebreeding are not producing enough genetic diversity. The COI
number: 25% is extremely high and about as close as you can get: brother x
sister, so we are hoping to produce pups with much lower, percentages of COI.
Remember, even if you think you are outcrossing, there may be distant relatives
on both sides within 8 generations.
Weimaraners Pedigrees
is a worldwide study of over 125, 000 Weimaraner pedigrees. This work is
an ongoing project by Sylvia Voorn and Menno Vlaanderen of The Netherlands.
Our appreciation to Sylvia & Menno for their excellent work.
