Mission Look at this chart. It is a sad but true
depiction of the state of our breed. This is what motivated our Mission.
Our mission is to bring show breeders and field breeders closer in producing Dual dogs that fit form and function. US Weimaraners have split over the years into either strictly show or strictly field. Those of us in the middle have struggled for many years to plan breedings between dogs which were correct in conformation but also had excellent field aptitude. Most show breeders would not breed to field bred dogs due to the poor conformation. Most field breeders would not breed into show lines due to lack of hunting instincts. We want to provide incentives to produce correct conformation and field ability in the SAME dog. We decided to start the Dual Weimaraner Program to motivate and encourage show breeders to train their dogs for higher field titles and breed for field aptitude. To kick off our Project, a Contest
was held for 2 yrs 2009-2011. We raised some $10,000 in prize money and are
proud of all the dogs that earned these awards. We are extremely grateful
